Die neue Serie untersucht die Thematik "Vater und Sohn".
In der westlichen Ikonografie ist das Bild der Mutter mit ihrem Kind eine der bekanntesten bildlichen Darstellungen, die Metaphorik von Vater und Kind hingegen ist nicht sehr verbreitet.

Die Beziehung einer Mutter zu ihrem Kind wird durch körperliche Verbindungen wie Schwangerschaft, Geburt und manchmal auch den Akt des Stillens gefestigt, das Kind hinterlässt sogar innerliche und hormonelle Spuren am Körper der Mutter.
Versucht nun der Vater ebenfalls, seine Beziehung zu dem Kind sowohl zu verinnerlichen, als auch öffentlich zu machen, indem er sich das Bild seines Sprösslings als Tattoo in seine Haut ritzen lässt? Sind die Tätowierungen Zeichen von Verlust oder Zugehörigkeit? Gleichen diese Zeichen am Körper etwa einem Altar im Tempel?

Das Tattoo als Kunstform erhebt den Körper zur Leinwand. Als Kommunikationsmittel stellt es eine wichtige Datenbank von Glauben, Werten und der Geschichte von Individuen, Gruppen und Kulturen dar.
